I am a Kent-based photographer and graphic designer offering a creative, flexible and competitive service to publishers, commercial clients and individuals.

I graduated from Goldsmith's College, University of London, in 1970 with a degree in Graphic Design and have been a professional graphic designer, book designer and photographer since 1975 – running my own creative business, Stonecastle Graphics, which is located in Sutton Valence, Kent. I am also a director of Touchstone Books, a small, independent book publishing company.

I have been a photographer, designer and artist for many years, working in a graphically visual style, creating a wide variety of work that is based on coastal, rural and urban subjects, often reflecting the beauty of nature but also capturing the decay of manmade objects as well as the changing moods of light, colour and abstract patterns which I explore in the world around me.

I look for simplicity of composition, iconic, bold shapes and colours in my photographs and many of my images have been published in books and magazines. Expertise in Photoshop enables me to enhance and manipulate images, combining multi-layers and graphic effects to create results which are ideal as art prints, posters, book covers or CD sleeves.
To discuss your photographic ideas and requirements, or to order limited-edition prints of my pictures, please contact me by email or phone.

Exhibitions and competitions:

I have had paintings accepted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition on two separate occasions.

In September 2001 I was in New York with my wife and daughter and we witnessed the devastating terrorist attack on the Twin Towers of the WTC on the morning of the 11th. I captured some of those moments on film. Some of these images have been published in national newspapers and magazines and appeared in a special memorial exhibition - Impact - held at the old Saatchi Gallery in north London on the first anniversary of the attack, when all proceeds were donated to the official NY Firefighters Disaster Fund.
